Stroke-Adapted Sickness Impact Profile (SA-SIP30)

Purpose of the measure
The SA-SIP30 (van Straten, de
Haan, Limburg, Schuling, Bossuyt, & van den Bos, 1997) was
developed from the original 136-item Sickness Impact Profile
(SIP-136), and assesses quality of life in patients who have sustained
a stroke. The scale was developed specifically for use in stroke
outcome research in order to overcome the major problem observed with
the SIP-136, its length (Finch, Brooks, Stratford, & Mayo,
2002).
